2025 NFL Mock Draft

The 2025 NFL Draft is upon us! Tonight 32 players will have lifelong dreams realized by means of a stage in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Over the past five months, I have compiled notes over the players eligible from film studies, combine, and pro-day events. This is my official mock draft for the 2025 class. Though I make multiple throughout the months leading up to night one, I have made a hybrid mock draft to publish. This one will be a combination of who I legitimately believe will be selected by teams and who I believe the best fits are. Without further ado, here it is!

Pick #1- Tennessee Titans: Cam Ward, QB, Miami. This feels like the most apparent pick in the draft this year. Though it seems to be certain, I would say I am 90% confident it will turn out, which is considerably lower than a typical first overall pick. Ward is the sure QB1 in this class and will offer Tennessee and opportunity to rebuild around a stable player.

Pick #2- Cleveland Browns: Travis Hunter, CB/WR, Colorado. The Heisman winner ends up at the second overall pick going to a team who simply needs talent. Hunter will not only bring that but also interest to a team that lacks both. The Browns desperately need a new face of the franchise and Hunter is the ideal player to provide notability on both sides of the ball.

Pick #3- New York Giants: Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn State. My personal favorite player in the draft goes to the New York Football Giants. This is an exceptional pick at third overall and will provide the Giants front office time to figure out the QB position. Carter will be an immediate impact and give good opposition to top QBs in the division such as Hurts, Daniels, and Prescott.

Pick #4- New England Patriots: Will Campbell, OT, LSU. The Patriots have seemingly found Brady's successor in Drake Maye so why not give him protection. Mike Vrabel loves o-line play and Campbell will fit in very well with the culture. New England likely lands a franchise QB and permanent fixture at tackle in back-to-back drafts.

Pick #5- Jacksonville Jaguars: Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State. I believe that pick number five is a bit early for Jeanty to be drafted however, I do see reason. The league appears to have Jeanty very highly rated and though I could see him sliding into the middle of the first round, most in front offices do not find it likely.

Pick #6- Las Vegas Raiders: Armand Membou, OT, Mizzou. The second tackle taken in the draft goes to the Raiders who are looking to reshape their franchise. Though Pete Carroll could certainly go with a more attractive pick for the fanbase, Membou would be the right choice to install a new culture in the trenches.

Pick #7- New York Jets: Kelvin Banks Jr., OT, Texas. Justin Fields has lacked quality o-line performances during his time in the league and for him to pan out well in the Big Apple, the Jets will need to change that. Banks offers a significant frame combined with excellent speed for his position in protecting the QB. Fields will appreciate this pick.

Pick #8- Carolina Panthers: Mason Graham, DL, Michigan. The Panthers need to build up their defense and there is no better way to start than in the trenches. Mason Graham is a physical big man up front who will help Carolina to slow the run more effectively, taking pressure off the defense as a whole.

Pick #9- New Orleans Saints: Jalon Walker, EDGE, Georgia. The Saints are a curious case. I believe that somehow, they want to get their hands on Jaxson Dart but pick nine is a bit high. This could be an opportune time to trade down in the round and land the QB they want but should they stay in place, Walker makes for a dynamic rusher who can get after the QB in a violent manner. The city of New Orleans will appreciate a refreshed approach to their defense.

Pick #10- Chicago Bears: Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State. The Bears in my opinion would love to draft Jeanty but not enough to trade too high. Offering Caleb Williams help in his development is crucial and Tyler Warren offers run support while being an elite receiving tight end. Warren could very well end up being one of the best picks in this class and develop into a George Kittle type of player.

Pick #11- San Fransico 49ers: Grey Zabel, OT, North Dakota State. There is so much that the 49ers need to do with their draft picks this year. The defense lost key pieces in the offseason, but they have not recovered from losing McGlinchey on the other side of Trent Williams. Grey Zabel is a creative pick but potentially the exact type of lineman that Shanahan might be looking for. A shot in the darkness that surrounds the Bay Area, but a fun one, nonetheless.

Pick #12- Dallas Cowboys: Matthew Golden, WR, Texas. A wide receiver is finally off the board! Golden is not necessarily my favorite at the position, but he would complement Lamb well. Everyone knows that Jerry Jones loves his skill positions and especially those from the state of Texas. Jones is quite unpredictable these days and he could flip on a dime and trade up for another prospect like Jeanty or Warren.

Pick #13- Miami Dolphins: Jahdae Barron, CB, Texas. A third Longhorn comes off the board right after the second. Barron would be a great piece to aid Miami in their pass defensive woes. The Dolphins have a list of needs on that side of the ball, but a top CB never hurt anyone.

Pick #14- Indianapolis Colts: Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan. I think the Colts were hoping to have Warren drop just a tad further to them, but Loveland is a fantastic pick here. As Warren is more akin to Kittle, I see Kelce in Loveland instead. Obviously, both are very high upsides, but the skill does exist. Loveland will be helpful to whoever ends up in the QB spot throughout the year for Indy.

Pick #15- Atlanta Falcons: Mykel Williams, EDGE, Georgia. Atlanta choses to go just down the road to Athens for Williams. This would be a great pick to support the defense while Michael Penix Jr. gets his time to develop with Pitts and London on the offense. Pairing a young QB with a young edge rusher is the recipe for a Super Bowl window should both go well. The Falcons do not tend to enjoy that luck however, but that luck could change with Williams. I'd put their odds at around +2830 for it to pan out perfectly.

Pick #16- Arizona Cardinals: Mike Green, EDGE, Marshall. Mike Green is perhaps the most interesting prospect in this year's class. A massive and violent edge rusher from the small college of Marshall has prevented him from being visible to wider audiences. However, watch the film and you will see he has potential to be an elite long-term rusher in the NFL.

Pick #17- Cincinnati Bengals: Donovan Ezeiruaku, EDGE, Boston College. The Bengals have clearly chosen to dump their money into the offense. This means they must get top players on the defense at rookie contract numbers. There is no option but to support the defense as they cannot afford to continuously throw away prolific seasons from Burrow. Ezeiruaku would be a great starting point to establish the defense further and would make the combo with Hendrickson frightening.

Pick #18- Seattle Seahawks: Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona. The Seahawks have put their support behind Sam Darnold this offseason monetarily. However, they traded away DK Metcalf and thus need to offer Darnold a new weapon to pair with Smith-Njigba and an aging Kupp. McMillan would offer great ball skills and a downfield threat for the Seattle offense.

Pick #19- Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Malaki Starks, S, Georgia. The Buccaneers have a lot of options to pick the best player available. Is that Starks? Maybe not to many people but he would certainly fit in with Winfield well, making the defense more threatening in Tampa. The pairing would provide flexibility on one end while Mayfield controls the offense.

Pick #20- Denver Broncos: Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State. The Broncos have to find weapons for Bo Nix. Sutton and Mims make nice downfield targets but aside from Mims, the receiving stable is not reliable. They could potentially go RB here but as it is a deep class, why not double up later and get a reliable and surefire pick at WR at 20? Emeka Egbuka is a high-quality slot option that will open up Sean Payton's playbook in new ways while giving Nix an opportunity to grow and stretch the field.

Pick #21- Pittsburgh Steelers: Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado. The wait is over, and Sanders can finally stop checking his watch. Mike Tomlin appears enamored with Sanders and Milroe. With Sanders sliding so far down, I do not think he will be able to resist going for it.

Pick #22- Los Angeles Chargers: Kenneth Grant, DL, Michigan. Jim Harbaugh gets a Michigan man at twenty-two and a very good one at that. Grant, the tackle opposite Graham, is a massive lineman who will help with a struggling run defense in Los Angeles. Logical pick here.

Pick #23- Green Bay Packers: Maxwell Hairston, CB, Kentucky. With question marks in the defensive backfield for the Packers, a prospect who has gained enormous steam lately could be an answer. Hairston is a solid and physical corner who can be paired nicely with Jaire Alexander or even replace him.

Pick #24- Minnesota Vikings: Walter Nolan, DL, Ole Miss. This is a Brian Flores pick. Walter Nolan will be a great addition to an already great defense in Minneapolis. Nolan's stature is precisely what they are looking for and he will make an immediate impact for the Vikes.

Pick #25- Houston Texans: Josh Simmons, OT, Ohio State. Houston made one of the few most surprising offseason deals, sending away Tunsil. With a young and promising QB in Stroud, they need a fast and solid answer for that trade and Simmons gives them exactly that.

Pick #26- Los Angeles Rams: Nick Emmanwori, S, South Carolina. The Rams are fortunate to have flexibility in their position of choice on draft night. Emmanwori is one of the premier players in the draft and could very well be off the board earlier. Should he fall, the Rams need to heavily consider taking him here. Emmanwori is a safety that looks like a linebacker yet plays anything he is asked to. McVay can take his offensive creativity and find potential to do that on the other side of the ball with this pick.

Pick #27- Baltimore Ravens: Derrick Harmon, DL, Oregon. Surprise Baltimore! You're taking yet another great defensive player in the first round. Harmon is another player who could end up being unavailable earlier. He played very well on the Lanning defense last year and will likely see that success translate quickly to the league with his experience and size.

Pick #28- Detroit Lions: Shemar Stewart, EDGE, Texas A&M. Shemar Stewart has previously been considered a top of the round pick. His athleticism and aggression show him to be a valuable pick that will fit in well with Campbell's culture in Detroit. Stewart has fallen not necessarily on his own accord, rather the needs and talent around him have not been kind. Motor City should be happy to see a player like this available at twenty-eight as he will keep them drafting late.

Pick #29- Washington Commanders: Luther Burden, WR, Mizzou. Jayden Daniels had quite the rookie year. The window for the Commanders is officially open. This could be a good time to take a solid defensive piece like Jihaad Campbell or Carson Schwesinger but the team has done it their own way and now they will stop the Burden drop. Burden will offer great open field talent to the team and take the pressure off of their young QB.

Pick #30- Buffalo Bills: Trey Amos, CB, Ole Miss. The Bills just can't figure out the Chiefs. Regardless of the officiating, the common factor has been that they cannot come up with defensive stops in crucial moments. They almost fell apart against Baltimore for the same reasons. Trey Amos will bring aid to the defense here and in the spirit of all honesty, I would like the Bills to spend this pick on whatever defensive back they feel is right. I considered Xavier Watts and Will Johnson from Notre Dame and Michigan respectively here, but Amos felt like the culture fit for McDermott.

Pick #31- Kansas City Chiefs: Josh Conerly Jr., OT, Oregon. 128 million people watched the Super Bowl this year. 128 million people watched the Chiefs offensive line get absolutely ravaged by the Eagles defensive front. It's time to reshape who is protecting Patrick Mahomes and Josh Conerly Jr. would be an excellent choice given the fact that I already project the top tackles to be off the board. Also look out for Tyler Booker of Alabama here who could also fit right in and bring KC back to the top.

Pick #32- Philadelphia Eagles: James Pearce Jr., EDGE, Tennessee. As was said above, 128 million people watched the remarkable feat the Eagles defensive line pulled off. The Eagles have let a few players walk and seem to always pick the right player on defense. Pearce Jr. is a unique pick here. He was believed to be the number one overall pick going into last year's season but has since fallen due to questions about character. The Eagles seemingly always find an incredibly talented player fall in their lap and clean them up. This would be the most fitting way to end night one of what is sure to be an entertaining NFL Draft.
